Terms of Service

You must be at least 18 years of age and hold a valid driving licence recognised in Nepal to rent a vehicle on our Platform. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that you meet these requirements. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that do not satisfy eligibility criteria.

Account Accuracy

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update it as necessary. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity under your account.

KYC Verification

Before completing your first booking, you must submit valid government-issued identity documents and a driving licence for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification as required by Nepalese law. Rentals will not be processed until KYC is approved. Book Now Nepal may reject or revoke approval at its sole discretion.

Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when you receive a written confirmation from Book Now Nepal. Vehicle owners may decline a booking request within the stated response window.

Pricing

All prices are displayed in Nepalese Rupees (NPR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Fuel, toll charges, and any fines or penalties incurred during the rental period are your responsibility.

Payment

Payment is processed at the time of booking confirmation via our authorised payment gateways. We do not store raw card details. By providing payment information, you authorise us to charge the displayed amount.

Security Deposit

A refundable security deposit may be collected before vehicle handover. The deposit will be returned within 7 business days after the vehicle is returned in its original condition, subject to deductions for damage or policy violations.

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the pick-up time are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations between 24–48 hours before pick-up attract a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours of pick-up are non-refundable. No-shows are non-refundable. If a vehicle owner cancels your booking, you will receive a full refund within 5–7 business days. Book Now Nepal reserves the right to modify this policy for promotional or special bookings.

Permitted Use

Vehicles may only be driven within Nepal by the verified renter or an additional driver approved in writing before the rental begins. Sub-letting or allowing unauthorised persons to drive is strictly prohibited.

Prohibited Activities

You must not: use the vehicle for commercial transportation of passengers or goods; participate in racing or off-road driving unless specifically booked for such purposes; operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs; tamper with any GPS or tracking device; transport illegal items; or cross international borders without prior written approval.

Traffic Laws

You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable Nepalese traffic laws. Any fines, penalties, or legal consequences arising from your use of the vehicle are your responsibility.

Basic Coverage

All vehicles listed on the Platform carry third-party liability insurance as mandated by Nepalese law. This covers damage to third parties only.

Damage to the Vehicle

You are liable for any damage to the rented vehicle caused during your rental period, up to the security deposit amount under our standard plan. Additional damage protection plans may be available at checkout.

Exclusions

Coverage does not apply to damage resulting from prohibited activities (Section 6), driving under the influence, or wilful misconduct.

All content on the Platform, including logos, text, graphics, software, and data, is the property of Book Now Nepal Pvt. Ltd. or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.

The Platform and services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses.

To the fullest extent permitted by Nepalese law, Book Now Nepal shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any vehicle rented through it. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific booking giving rise to the claim.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Nepal. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be subject to good-faith negotiation. Unresolved disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Kathmandu, Nepal.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by email or platform notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
