Safety
Safety is the foundation of every trip on Book Now Nepal — from how we verify renters and vehicles, to what happens when something goes wrong on the road.
Our Commitment
Book Now Nepal is a peer-to-peer vehicle rental marketplace. We are not the vehicle owner, but we are responsible for the standards that govern every booking on our platform. That responsibility shapes every policy we set and every feature we build.
Our safety framework covers three areas: who rents (renter verification), what they drive (vehicle standards), and what happens if something goes wrong (emergency support and claims). Each section below explains exactly what we do and what you can expect.
Renter Verification
No one drives a vehicle booked on our platform without first passing identity and licence verification.
Identity Verification (KYC)
Every renter must submit a government-issued ID and a valid Nepalese driving licence before their first booking is confirmed. Documents are verified by our compliance team.
Secure Account
Accounts are protected with email verification on sign-up and optional two-factor authentication. Suspicious login attempts are automatically flagged.
Renter Ratings
Vehicle owners rate renters after each trip. A strong rating history gives owners confidence, and renters with repeated issues may be suspended.
If your KYC is rejected, your booking request will be paused. Visit Account & KYC in our Help Center for guidance on resubmitting.
Vehicle Standards
All vehicles available on Book Now Nepal must meet the following standards. Documentation is verified through our partner platform before any vehicle goes live for booking.
Valid Bluebook (vehicle registration) on file
Active third-party liability insurance
Roadworthiness confirmed before each rental via our partner platform
Photographic condition report logged at pick-up and drop-off
GPS tracking device active throughout the rental period
Fleet partner identity and documentation verified before vehicles go live
During Your Rental
These steps protect both you and the vehicle owner throughout the rental period.
Pre-Drive Inspection
Walk around the vehicle with the owner at pick-up. Note and photograph any existing damage on the condition report before you drive away.
Stay on Approved Routes
Stick to public roads unless off-road access is explicitly stated in your booking. Inform someone of your planned route, especially on mountain roads.
Emergency Kit
All listed vehicles must carry a basic emergency kit including a first-aid kit, warning triangle, and fire extinguisher. Check these items at pick-up.
Emergency Support
Our support team is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Save these numbers before you start your trip.
Fleet Partner Standards
Every vehicle on Book Now Nepal comes from a verified fleet partner. Here's what we require from them to protect you as a renter.
Fleet partners must hold a valid vehicle registration (Bluebook) and active third-party insurance
Vehicle condition is documented with photos at every pick-up and drop-off
Renters agree to the full Terms of Service — including rental rules — before a booking is confirmed
Security deposit is collected from every renter to cover damage during the rental period
GPS tracking is required on all listed vehicles throughout the rental period
Damage claims are resolved using photographic evidence from the condition report
Reporting a Safety Issue
If you experience or witness unsafe behaviour — from another renter, an owner, or anyone encountered during your trip — report it to us immediately. Reports are reviewed by our trust and safety team within 24 hours.
You can report an issue via:
All reports are treated confidentially. We may temporarily suspend accounts while an investigation is underway to protect all parties.
Safety Tips
Always verify the vehicle condition report with the owner at pick-up — never skip this step.
Save our support number (+977-9832123223) in your phone before your trip.
Do not drive at night on unfamiliar mountain roads — plan your route to arrive before dark.
Keep your licence and booking confirmation accessible throughout the rental.
Do not allow anyone not listed on the booking to drive the vehicle.
Check weather and road conditions before heading to high-altitude destinations (Mustang, Langtang, etc.).
Fuel up before leaving city limits — petrol stations are sparse on many rural routes.
Report any mechanical concerns to us immediately — do not attempt repairs yourself.
